Dr. Mei is a Professor of School of Mechanical Engineering at ZhejiangUniversity. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Xidian University, Xi’An, China, and his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from ZhejiangUniversity, Hangzhou,China. From 2006 to 2008, he was a visiting scholar of S.M. Wu Manufacturing Research Center at UniversityofMichigan(Ann Arbor). His research interests include micro forming and micro-manufacturing, design and micro-manufacturing for hydrogen energy devices, 3D printing and additive manufacturing, etc. In the past 18 years, he has supported by National Science Foundation of China, National High-tech R&D Program of China (863 Program), Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation of China, Scientific Research Foundation for the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars (Ministry of Education of China), and etc. He is serving as the reviewer for ASME Journal of Manufacturing Science and Engineering, International Journal of Machine Tools and Manufacture, Journal of Sound and Vibration,etc. Dr. Mei has got provincial level technology progress for three times. He has more than 70 China patents and over 100 publications, including over 80 journal papers.
