Prof. Jinyang Zheng’s career in pressure vessels has spanned 22 years. After graduation from Zhejiang University (ZJU) with Ph.D in 1992, Prof. Zheng joined the Institute of Process Equipment of ZJU and became a professor in 1997, a Qiushi Distinguished Professor in 2009, and a Chang Jiang Scholar in 2012. As a visiting scholar, he worked in the Oak Ridge National Lab from August 1999 to August 2000, the University of Manchester in U.K. from October 2002 to January 2003. Currently he is a Vice Director of National Safety Committee of Pressure Vessels, the Director of SAC/TC31/SC8 Gas Cylinders/High Pressure Vehicle Fuel Tanks, the Director of Engineering Research Center for High Pressure Process Equipment and Safety, and Board Member for three National Standard Committees ( Boiler & Pressure Vessels, Hydrogen Energy, Gas Cylinders).

Now he is a Changjiang professor at Zhejiang University,China. He awarded world Highly Cited Researcher and Chinese Highly Cited Researcher in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017.

Prof. Dr. Limin QIU has been the leader of the Cryogenic Group “Cryoboat” at Zhejiang University, China since 2001 and a teacher there since 1997. He conducts research and teaching on cryogenic engineering, especially in pulse tube cryocooler and its applications, thermoacoustics, cryogenic heat transfer, large-scale gas liquefaction & separation, and high power electronics cooling. He has published over 200 Journal papers and 60 International Conference Papers, including some on ICEC, CEC, ICR and ICC. He is the holder of more than 100 China patents. He worked as a visiting scholar, Humboldt Fellow or guest professor in Osaka City University, Japan; University of Giessen, Germany; National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS), Japan; University of Wisconsin, USA; University of Twente, the Netherlands.

Prof. Chen was a Research Fellow with the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA, from 2006 to 2008, where he was involved in fuel cell modeling and control. In 2013, he joined the Department of Control Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University, where he is currently a Professor with the College of Control Science and Engineering. He has been supported by the Key Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China on Modeling and Control of Fuel Cell vehicles since 2015.

Dr. Hou received his Ph.D. degree from the School of Environmental Science & Technology of Dalian University of Technology in 2011, and then did 5.5 years of postdoctoral research in the Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Riverside, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, and Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden, Technische Universitat Dresden. He has been a Professor in College of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Zhejiang University since March 2017. His current research focuses on the design and synthesis of low-dimensional nanomaterials for energy and environmental applications.

Dr. Jianfeng Shi’s research interests lie in structural integrity assessment of plastic pressure vessel and piping, reinforced plastic pressure vessel and piping through advanced non-destructive testing and sensing technology. He has published 35 journal papers and 28 conference papers in this area, and he is inventor of 26 Chinese innovation patents.

Dr. Kai Wang is a Research Professor in the Institute of Refrigeration and Cryogenics at Zhejiang University. He received his B.Eng. degree in Energy and Environment Systems Engineering and Ph.D. degree in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics from Zhejiang University in 2009 and 2014, respectively. Before joining Zhejiang University, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Clean Energy Processes (CEP) Laboratory at Imperial College London during 2018-2019 and in the Energy Research Institute at Nanyang Technological University during 2014-2017. He is the Managing Editor for the journal Applied Thermal Engineering since 2019.

He is now a professor at Zhejiang University, also as the Standing Director of China Renewable Energy Society, and the Deputy Director of the Hydrogen Energy Professional Committee, the Member of China Hydrogen Energy Standardization Technical Committee, and the member of China Rare Earth Society as well.
