Dr. Bin YANG graduated from Zhejiang University in 2001 and 2004 respectively with his Bachelor‘s degree and master’s degree in Environmental Engineering. He started to work on the environmental engineering design and environment impact assessment in the East China Investigation & Design Institute from June 2004. In 2012, he received his Ph.D. degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in Environmental Engineering and later did his post-doctoral research in the Department of Chemical Engineering in Zhejiang University in the same year. He engaged in teaching and research on the area of environmental and chemical engineering in and became an associate professor in December 2016. His research fields focused on the advanced oxidation process for wastewater treatment, the membrane fouling control, and the novel absorbing material and so on. And he has been in charge of and participated in several projects with the joint of the efforts of the enterprises and many national and provincial research projects supported by many significant foundations such as the National Natural Science Foundation, and the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang province, China. So far, he had published over 30 academic papers in domestic and international journals such as Chemical Engineering Journal, Chemosphere, Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry, Separation and Purification Technology, RSC Advances and Environmental Science and Pollution Research. His 10 inventions and utility models were granted patent rights. In 2006, he won the second prize for the consulting achievement award of National Quality Project.
