(2) Nanoscale Materials and New Energies, mainly on transition metal chalcogenides and carbon materials, with applications in supercapacitors, Li-ion batteries, catalysis, and sensors;
(3) New Coating & Biomimetic Materials and Marine Applications, mainly on anti-corrosion coatings, desalination of sea water and water/gas storage, and stealth materials.
